Our client on this project was approached by Bentley Motors to supply and fit a new staff catering facility from the ground up; in a new, semiportable, external unit. HVAC became involved when the facility needed ventilation for a full cooking suite for hot food. The servery/dining area also needed air conditioning and heating installed and our client wanted to keep all ventilation, heating and cooling with a single supplier. The building itself was a pre-fabricated unit and had several constraints on size and structure within which contractors had to work.
HVAC designed, manufactured & installed, a full extract & return-air system comprising; canopies and air-movement plant to ventilate the new cookline suite and wash-up area. The main canopy incorporates full fume capture technology, return air facility, lighting & comfort spot-cooling for operatives. The ductwork included both extract and supply air facilities with filtration, heater battery, heavy duty plant and controls. The whole installation was carefully designed to fit the new building and be as unobtrusive as possible.
In addition to this, HVAC designed, delivered and installed and air-conditioning and heating system within the servery/customer space including all pipework, condensers, commissioning and certification.
HVAC were able to accommodate the client’s requirement for a one-stop-shop for all ventilation, heating & cooling requirements. In addition to this, we were able to work to the extremely tight deadlines and accommodate unavoidable, last minute design changes. HVAC also had the depth of knowledge and experience to fit the whole package into a building where space was at a premium and with room to spare.
“Now that the dust has settled I am writing to thank you for your efforts on the recent Diner project at Bentley Motors in Crewe. Timescales were tight and as you know the building design changed several times during the later stages of the project. It was great that you were able to adapt to the late changes and provide the client with a workable solution and a quality project.”
