TREND Machinery in Watford have a mezzanine storage and packaging area within their large warehouse. The area is prone to becoming uncomfortably hot during the summer months, causing great discomfort to the staff that have to work there.
HVAC were approached to review the problem and design a ventilation plan to make the area usable and comfortable for its intended use. A new supply & extract system was designed to provide fresh air ventilation and air change rates.
HVAC designed, manufactured, installed and project managed the whole of the mezzanine ventilation project including safety management around the operating zone. The works was completed over several weeks utilising our approved supply chain & in-house staff to complete electrics and controls installation.
HVAC were able to develop the design & programme in such a way as to complete the works safely and with minimal impact to the operating mezzanine area. The design allowed for full customer operation and night purge facility, with ease of use and adjustable air flow.
