Due to the success of the new extended store in Bath, HVAC were appointed to provide a design and build solution for additional cooling to the new entrance food hall area providing a new customer snacking area and fast lunchtime offer.
HVAC were principal contractor in delivering a multi-service solution.
HVAC were able to provide an independent solution to the issue with the introduction of a new R290 propane chiller to provide chilled water to around a dozen new ceiling mounted cassette units. New supporting steelwork provided a base for the new chiller, together with new pipework traversing the store before serving the new cassettes above the occupied zone.
A specialist crane was managed to provide an early morning lift, with all the other trades working over nights to deliver the project – all under full CDM safety!
As well as providing both engineering support & liaison at store level, we were able to devise a programme of works which worked around the running of the store, even out of hours, with little or no impact on the operations back of house and more importantly trade.
Attention to detail with structural issues and even the geology below the store relating to the crane lift and its weight, all made for a successful project.

“HVAC provided a complete service on my behalf, the planning, and the organisation of the site works and liaison with the store management team, landlord and local authority and finally the execution of this particularly difficult project on the day. Outstanding issues were dealt with promptly and in a professional manner. The service provided by Ian and his team was exemplary throughout.”
